Roadrunner Exchange - Alumni Scholarship Program

The Association provides support in many ways but none more important than the UTSA Alumni Scholarship Program. The need is great as UTSA continues to attract record numbers of students who will become the well-educated workforce and leaders in the community. Since 1982, the Association has awarded over $721,000 in scholarships to 275 deserving students.

The generous and supportive benefactors of these student scholars come from our large and diverse network of alumni and their families, corporations, small business owners, individuals, foundations, UTSA faculty and staff, and friends of the university. All are fervently committed to opening wide the doors of higher education to deserving students so that each may achieve their life's dreams.

The goal of the Alumni Association is to distribute at least $60,000 in scholarships annually to UTSA students. For the 2009-2010 academic year, the Alumni Association awarded 38 scholarships, for a total of $72,000.

Alumni Association scholarships are consistently the highest dollar amount awarded at UTSA. Each recipient receives at least $2,000 annually. Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students and are renewable based on classification, full-time status, and academic requirements.

The Scholarship Salute for the 2009-2010 academic year is Thursday, September 17. Scholars will meet their benefactors at a special reception on the UTSA campus.
