President Eighmy’s vision for UTSA as an exemplary urban-serving university of the future has inspired new focus on the university’s service to the local community, deeming 2018 the year of service. The highlight of the year will be UTSA’s Day of Service in honor of the Inauguration of President Taylor Eighmy.
UTSA faculty and staff, students, alumni and friends participating in the Day of Service should dress comfortably and ready to work! Registered participants will receive a Day of Service t-shirt, which may be picked up at either Main Campus or Downtown Campus a day or two prior to the event (details forthcoming). Once registration closes at 5 pm on March 20, you will be assigned to a service project based on the size of your group, number of volunteers needed for each project, and transportation needs. Thank you in advance for your flexibility!
Planning to attend the Cesar E. Chavez March For Justice or March for Our Lives San Antonio on March 24? Special service projects will be offered to align with the marches so you can also participate in the Day of Service! Check off the march you are planning to attend on your registration form, and we’ll get back to you with additional information.
