Houston Roadrunner Spotlight: Adam Paisley

Adam Paisley attributes much of his success to his experiences at UTSA. Paisley is a Houston native, who chose UTSA alongside his older sister. At UTSA, he had opportunities beyond his required courses that inspired him to go after a career in oil and gas.

“Destiny is not something to wait for, but something to be achieved. At UTSA I had many experiences that have taught me you can achieve anything if you put in the effort and are willing to work for it. That’s what UTSA has done for me,” he said.

Paisley recalls his former economics professor, Dr. Weiher, and his involvement in the Investment Society that shaped his experience at UTSA. Paisley says that it is easy to know you are on the right path when you have professors like these to inspire greatness.

Today, Adam is back in Houston and working as an analyst for Phillips 66. Working alongside the Gulf Coast gasoline traders, he manages the regions’ reporting and market risk. The experiences he received from UTSA will forever impact his life. Paisley has shown UTSA continuous support to current students.

“Giving helps afford future students the chance to have the same opportunities I had at UTSA.”

To connect with Adam and other Houston-area alumni who have a passion for supporting UTSA, think about joining this year’s Alumni Association Diploma Dash! “Memorial Park is beautiful and the trails are in really good shape. It’s great to connect with so many other UTSA alumni in the Houston area. It’s a fun and different environment that is really conducive to really talking to people.”

Join Adam and the Houston Chapter for the Diploma Dash Chapter Challenge at Memorial Park, or register to run in San Antonio at the UTSA Main Campus. We look forward to seeing you!
