If you’re a football fan starved for gridiron action, a parent hoping to send a son or daughter to college, or a coach with youngsters dreaming of playing college sports, we’re coming to see you. Head coach, Larry Coker, and the UTSA football program are taking weekend spring scrimmages on the road. They will be at Judson High School on Saturday, March 23, at Harlandale High School on Saturday, April 6, and this year's UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game will be played on Sunday, April 14, at the Dub Farris Stadium. All three scrimmages will begin at 2 p.m. and gates will open at noon. The best part … all three are free to the public.
Representatives from the UTSA Admissions Office will be present to provide college entry information. Members of the UTSA Athletics staff responsible for NCAA compliance and eligibility will be on hand to provide information on college athletic scholarships and the NCAA clearinghouse process. Following each scrimmage, Coach Coker and the team will participate in autograph sessions. UTSA merchandise and other prizes also will be given away. Tailgating will be allowed at all three stadiums, but no alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
